Center for a Non Violent Community serves women, men, teens and children who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. All services are available at the office, 19900 Cedar Rd North, Sonora, Ca. Free Services include:

Crisis LineCrisis Line: 533-3401-1-800-454-4766
24-hour crisis line staffed by certified peer counselors and CNVC staff who provide peer counseling, resources and referrals and information.

Emergency ResponseEmergency Response
24 hour response by an Advocate to hospital emergency room, police department, sheriff’s department, medical office, Prompt Care for domestic violence or sexual assault. Law Enforcement or medical personnel call and we respond within 20 minutes.

Child Abuse TreatmentChild Abuse Treatment
Professional counseling for children suffering from trauma due to domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse is free for those who are income qualified and who do not have adequate insurance for behavioral health. By appointment only. Call to see if you qualify for free services.

CounselingCounseling
Drop-in peer counseling for sexual assault and domestic violence.
Therapy for sexual assault, domestic violence, adults molested as children. Call office for assessment and appointment.
Support groups for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and adults molested as children

Legal AssistanceLegal Assistance
Assistance in obtaining Temporary Restraining Orders and Harassment Orders for sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and elder abuse.
Court Accompaniment
Referrals to Victim Witness Program

Emergency ShelterEmergency Shelter
Shelter is available for women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and need safety. Shelter can be provided for one day or up to two months.
Men who are experiencing domestic violence and need a safe place to stay, will be provided safe space.

Transitional ShelterTransitional Shelter
Transitional Shelter is available for women and children who are victims of domestic violence and have resided at the Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter. It is for battered women who need temporary housing in order to get financially on their feet. Transitional shelter is available up to two years.
